MMS Arcade Mania

Students in Erin Speth’s Game Design class at Monroe Middle School were challenged to design and create arcade games out of cardboard boxes.

Students were provided cardboard, tape, scissors, markers and some inspiration from a video about a 9-year-old named Caine who created his own cardboard arcade. Students had to think of an idea, design it, try it, make adjustments, learn what worked and what didn’t, and make more adjustments.

On the last day of the unit, the games were set up in the LMC and other classes were invited to play all of the games.
