MONROE - Green County Historical Society will host a program by Tom Mitchell at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 at the Green County Historical Museum, 1617 9th St.
Mitchell's program, "A Street By Any Other Name," will describe the change of Monroe streets from names to the numbered streets and avenues of today. Mitchell will also talk about the role of the Monroe Evening Times editor, Harry B. Lyford, had in this change.
The program is open to the public.
