MONROE — Mandie Miller, RN, SSM Health Monroe Hospital Emergency Department nurse, is the newest recipient of the DAISY Award. Mandie has been a nurse with SSM Health Monroe Hospital for seven years.
Mandie was nominated by a new nurse, Taylor Foecking, who Mandie was a preceptor for. Taylor’s nomination shared that “Mandie molds new nurses into amazing nurses. Her demeanor to help patients and staff not only physically but also physiologically and mentally is amazing! She looks out for the patients in the past, present and future and that speaks volumes about who she is. Mandie will go above and beyond for one patient and then turns around to create new processes to then be able to go above and beyond for her future patients. Mandie deserves recognition for her outstanding work for her patients and staff because she makes such a huge difference in her care that she provides.”
The DAISY Award is an international program that celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care delivered by nurses every day. Mandie is one of three million nurses nationwide who represent the largest healthcare profession. SSM Health Monroe Hospital and SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group employs over 300 nurses serving patients throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
