Military News: Albany graduate completes basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Isaiah J. Shell

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — U.S. Air Force Airman Isaiah J. Shell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. 

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Shell is the son of Jeffrey and Sarah Shell of Norwalk. He is the brother of Karissa Cupps and Tyler Shell of Monroe and Joshua Shell of Albany. He is the grandson of Ronald and Beverly Shell of Albany, and Jean Oleson of Hillsboro.

The airman is a 2014 graduate of Albany High School.
