MONROE - The tenth year of Midday Masterworks, a quarterly organ mini-recital series, begins Wednesday, Jan. 26 with a program titled "Celestial Bodies," with pieces by Pachelbel, Marcello, Buxtehude and others. The program will be at 12:15 p.m. at Monroe United Methodist Church and repeated at 5:30 p.m. at St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe.
The free, half-hour program will feature Deborah Krauss Smith, director of music/organist at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe. Other programs in the 2011 series are scheduled for April 27, July 27 and Oct. 26.
