MONROE - The Monroe High School is hosting an eighth-grade orientation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30 at the high school.
All current eighth-graders and their families are invited to attend. The orientation is designed to welcome eighth-grade students and their families, and to provide an overview of what MHS has to offer.
The evening will begin in the PAC with Principal Rick Waski explaining the Aligned by Design curricular model. There will also be brief presentations by the elective areas. Then, families are encouraged to walk about the building to talk with teachers and see classrooms. Families can also stop at Student Services to learn about registration and testing, and visit the Special Education area for answers on IEPs.
In addition, two sessions will be held regarding post-secondary education. A letter explaining the details of the orientation and a brochure have been mailed to parents.
More information is available by calling the high school at (608) 328-7123 or (608) 328-7258.
