Meeting will show artifacts from Demun Trading Post

ALBANY - Albany Historical Society will present the program, "First French Trading Post in Green County (Decatur Township)," at 7 p.m. May 20 at the museum, 119 N. Water St.

Tom Fey, Monroe, will present the program. He will show 180-year-old artifacts found during the 1986-87 archeological excavations of the Demun Trading Post site along the Sugar River down river from Decatur Lake.

The presentation is open to the public, and there is no charge for admittance. The program follows a short business meeting. Refreshments will be served.
