McCulloughs win Holstein Futurity

MONROE - The sixth annual District 6 Holstein Futurity was held on June 23 in conjunction with the District 6 Holstein Show in Monroe. Eight of the 58 entries made three years ago were presented in hopes of claiming one of the top prizes.

The McCullough family of Rock-N-Hill-II Holsteins, Juda, exhibited the first place cow, Rock-N-Hill-II Conflict-ET. She received the $500 prize sponsored by Badgerland Financial, Janesville, as well as 25 percent of the purse, totaling nearly $850 in winnings.

Second place went to Glenn-Ann Jasper Shiner exhibited by Glenn-Ann Holsteins, Glenn and JoAnn Brewer of Albany. She was awarded a cash prize of $250 sponsored by Chris Gransee Hoof Trimming, Evansville, as well as 20 percent of the purse for a total payout of nearly $525.

Rounding out the class are as follows: Bur-Wall Goldwyn Petal-ET exhibited by Bur-Wall Holsteins, Brooklyn; Glenn-Ann Senna-ET exhibited by Glenn-Ann Holsteins, Albany; Hoesly Durham Rondeau exhibited by Mystic Valley Holsteins/Mitch Bruenig, Sauk City; Hoesly Rubens Paige exhibited by Todd Hoesly, Brodhead; Remarc Leader Neway exhibited by the Robert Cramer, Sr., Juda; and Gerdes RM Philly-ET exhibited by Gerdes Family Dairy, Brooklyn.
