MONROE - South Central Wisconsin Master Gardener Association (SCWMGA) will present scholarships to qualifying youth who are enrolled in secondary education in a horticulture related field of study. Applications are due by March 31 and scholarship recipients will be announced in May of 2011. Applicants may attend a four-year university or a Technical College.
In order to apply for the scholarship, the applicant must be a graduate of a Green County area high school or a Green County resident continuing education after high school. The scholarships will be awarded after the student has successfully completed one semester of study and has sent the scholarship committee proof of re-enrollment for the next semester.
Requirements include completing an application, supplying the names and contact information of three references, giving a brief explanation of their need for this scholarship and the significance of its benefits to future plans, including personal goals and objectives.
Up to $1,000 will be distributed annually at the discretion of the South Central Wisconsin Master Gardener Association.
