MONROE - Walgreens Pharmacy hosts Monroe Community Blood Drive and "Be The Match Marrow Drive" from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 at 717 8th Ave., Monroe.

To donate blood, people must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health. One in three people will need blood.
People who want to join the "Be The Match Marrow Registry" need to be between the ages of 18 and 60, be willing to donate to any patient in need, and meet health guidelines.
