MONROE — The Rev. Christie Mandas has accepted a call to serve as Associate Pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe.
She began her duties Feb. 10.
Mandas is a native of Northern California and has lived in Monroe since June of 2019. She most recently served as chaplain at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
She received her Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in 2005 and was ordained in 2006. She is also a certified spiritual counselor and board-certified chaplain.
She has served a congregation in Indiana and served in the chaplaincy program at Dwight Correctional Center, a maximum-security prison in Dwight, Illinois, and at hospitals in Idaho as well as in Monroe.
