Main Street Monroe receives Destination Marketing Organization Grant
Jordan Nordby, (center) Executive Director, Main Street Monroe, is presented a Destination Marketing Organization Grant by Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary-designee Anne Sayers and Governor Tony Evers in mid-November in Janesville. The grant, which was awarded on a competitive basis, is intended help fuel recovery efforts and expand on the Main Street Monroe’s tourism work to attract visitors to the region. At the reception, Nordby spoke for plans for Main Street’s 2022 summer theme, which will be the 11th, and virtual shopping nights which are happening now. The grant was funded by the American Rescue Plan Act; $15 million was presented to 120 Destination Marketing Organizations throughout the state, including to Green County Tourism.
