MONROE — As part of its coordinated First Thursday Shopping Nights, Main Street Monroe will host its fourth annual November Wine Walk from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7.

Participants will be able to sample a variety of 40 total wines at 20 participating stores. This will include wines from Bailey’s Run in New Glarus and Staller Winery in Delavan, a variety of Californian and Washington state wines, as well as East Australian, French and Argentinian wines. Hawk’s Mill Winery, located in Browntown with a tasting room in New Glarus, is the presenting sponsor.

Along with their top-selling Currantly Single wine, Main Street’s Wine Walk will also feature Hawk’s just released Alpaca Punch wine and its seasonal, limited Holli Berry wine.

In addition to wine samples, participants will be able to shop at participating stores at their own pace. Main Street is also partnering with the Monroe Public Library, which will be hosting a craft event immediately prior to the wine walk and continue throughout. The craft will be a commemorative wine cork keychain. The library will also serve as the official water station for the event.

Participating stores include JoAnne’s Dress Shop, Max’s Threads, Urban Spa and Boutique, House to Home Designs, along with stores that have opened in the historic district within the past year: Mixed Petal’s Boutique — a clothing store geared toward women, Artful Gourmet —a kitchen and home goods store, and Rock & Rust — specializing in upcycled furniture, vinyl records and vintage clothing. Main Street’s seasonal pop-up shop, 213 Mercantile, which focuses on custom signs for the home, will also participate. All stores will include heavy appetizers as food pairings.

Proceeds from the event will help support Main Street Monroe’s initiatives including small business assistance, historic preservation, seasonal decorations and flower pots in the district, and events. Main Street Monroe is a not-for-profit organization.

Tickets may be sold at the door if still available. Interested persons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are currently on sale at

mainstreetmonroe.org and at Heartland Graphics, Toy Haus, and Chocolate Temptation. Ticket prices include all food pairings and samples.
