Titled Tangled Design Drawing Workshop, is an online drawing class for all ages and skill levels. It will be held Sunday, Jan. 31 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 

King, who taught at Monroe High School and has previously volunteered for Main Street Monroe, will be guiding participants through this virtual workshop of artful meditation. Participants will create a beautiful tangled design by drawing a series of patterns and shapes that speak to them. The process is intended to relax the artist’s mind as they focus on the shapes and continuously build off of them creating an original design.

The class will be held via Main Street’s Facebook page. There is a fee. The workshop fee will cover all materials including practice sheets, heavy bond paper for the final drawing, plus colored pencils, a marker, and a sweet treat. All proceeds from the class go directly towards Main Street’s efforts which include small business assistance, historic preservation, and events.
