Hundreds flocked to downtown Monroe on Saturday, Sept. 13 for Main Street Monroe’s pop up Night Market and preview of the city’s newest park, the “Pocket Park”. The event featured 20 vendors, including those specializing in traditional German clothing, permanent jewelry, dirty soda, art, crocheted items, and apothecary items. The UW Band performed following local band “ira”. Bucky Badger and Wedgie, performed a lightsaber battle. Main Street Monroe hopes to bring the event back at least once in 2026.

The park is located on the northeast corner of Monroe’s downtown square. The lot was generously donated to Wisconsin Bank & Trust and construction broke ground in late October 2024. Additional work is still being done before the park will be completed, but the restrooms are officially open and with daily hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
