MONTICELLO - The Monticello Area Historical Society general meeting will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23 in the north room at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Ave. The guest speaker is Tom Mitchell of Monroe.

The program will be about Green County prairies.
