Madison: Note Gala is Thursday in Madison

MADISON - The fifth annual Art of Note Gala on June 5 offers a unique opportunity to revel in the exquisite creations of celebrated artists, enjoy gourmet appetizers at the historic Madison Club in Madison and bid on a dazzling array of auction items while enjoying and supporting the talented student musicians of Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO). Area WYSO students who will benefit from the Art of Note fundraiser is Christopher James of Argyle who plays trumpet in the Concert Orchestra of WYSO and Akornefa Akyea of Verona Area Schools who plays flute in the Youth Orchestra.

Raffle tickets are $10 each and six for $50. Purchasers can designate a specific violin with the purchase of each ticket. Tickets for the June 5 Gala are $25 prior to the event and $30 at the door. The Web site also offers information on WYSO programs and the Art of Note artists. The violins are now on display at the Grace Chosy Gallery on Monroe Street in Madison.
