Madison: Benefit for Andersons is Saturday in Madison

MADISON - A "Circle of Friends" have organized a benefit for Mary and Charlie Anderson, Madison, to help them with medical expenses. Mary (Camilla Peterson) grew up in Darlington and Monroe. Charlie is the son of Julia Anderson, Argyle. The couple lived in Argyle prior to moving to Madison. Mary had a stroke in 2001 and has had many complications including a heart attack. Charlie also had a heart attack and was in a coma for 10 days. Hospitalizations, rehabilitation, ambulance fees and other medical expenses have outpaced and exhausted their insurance benefits.

The benefit is planned for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Westside Club, 437 County M, on the west side of Madison (near Menard's). Entertainment includes "Elvis Presley" aka Tony Rocker, Jan Wheaton, a Kung Fu troupe performance, raffle with cash prizes and a silent auction. A cash bar and light buffet will be provided. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 2 to 10 years old. Advance tickets are available by calling Betty Dorow at 241-1379.
