Black Hawk foreign exchange student Gabin Salad met Santa Claus (Père Noël in French) for the first time recently. 

Salad is a foreign exchange student from Montcuq, France. Before his temporary move to the United States to study at Black Hawk High School in South Wayne, he had never had the opportunity to meet Santa. His first visit with the Jolly Ol’ Elf took place earlier this month in Naperville, Illinois. Recently, on Sunday, December 14 while attending services at Wiota Lutheran Church, he met with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The teenager was all smiles with his foreign exchange family, Stuart and Sandy Seffrood of South Wayne.
