Luecke's hosting food drive

MONROE - Alicia Luecke-DeMichele, manager of Luecke's Diamond Center, Monroe, invites customers and the public to bring canned food to the store in return for "Diamond Point Certificates." These certificates are part of a contest in which six prizes with a total value of more than $5,000 will be awarded to the top six participants that save up the most Diamond Points.

For each canned vegetable donated the participant will receive 200 diamond points and for each canned fish or meat product donated they will receive 400 diamond points good toward winning the prizes. Also, redeem the stores weekly ads from The Monroe Times and Monroe Shopping News and post cards sent to participants for diamond points.

All non-perishable food items will be donated to the Green County Inter Church Food Pantry.

No purchase is necessary to participate and all prizes are on display in the store. Donations will be accepted at Luecke's Diamond Center, 1029 16th Ave. in downtown Monroe during regular store hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
