MONROE — Greg Knoke is no stranger to the art of Christmas decorating. For years, he has transformed his home into a canvas of holiday cheer. This winter, he decided to turn his attention to his business, Knoke & Kind Law Firm — a mainstay of legal expertise in Green County.

“I’ve been here since 1974, and I’ve met a lot of great people. I’ve done my best to serve them fairly and look out for their interests,” said Knoke.

His efforts paid off, because this holiday season, Knoke & Kind Law Office, at 1904 10th Street in Monroe, earned first place for the Festival of Lights in the business category.  Additionally, his home won second place for in the residential category. Monroe Chamber hosts the Festival of Lights contest to spotlight the residents and business owners who warm Monroe’s winter nights with their light display.

“After a Facebook vote, winners receive prizes of Monroe Money, but I think the true motivation is the chance to spread holiday cheer while enjoying a little friendly competition,” said Marcey Ciaccio, Chamber Director. “We appreciate Greg’s participation as a Chamber member and local resident!”

“It’s a joyous time of year, and this was my way of contributing to it. I’m happy that the community enjoyed what I was able to do,” said Knoke.

He appreciates that Monroe Chamber hosted this contest as a way to bring businesses and community members together during the holiday season. This year, Knoke also enlisted in the help of a fellow Chamber member, Six Point Services, to help him with those hard-to-reach areas of his home as well as his business.
