Lions Club elects district governor

MADISON - Gene Francis, Madison, was elected Lions District 27D-1 district governor at the recent district Lions convention in Dubuque, Iowa. Francis will succeed current governor Rick Daluge of Madison, on July 1. Also elected were Neil Winchell, first vice governor, and Daryl Porter, Beloit, second vice governor. All begin their Lionistic governance duties July 1 and the term of office is one year.

Lions District 27D-1 encompasses the counties of Dane, Rock, Green, Lafayette, Grant, Iowa and Columbia. There are 55 Lions clubs, 11 Lioness clubs, and 10 Leo clubs (high school clubs) in the district.
