Lena Volunteer Fire Department plans 150th anniversary celebration

LENA — To celebrate their 150th anniversary of service, the Lena Volunteer Fire Department is planning a celebration for Saturday, Aug. 3. Rich with tradition, the day will feature an antique fire engine parade at 1 p.m. with a dedication at the Lena Fire Station at 2 p.m. After the dedication, the station will be open for two hours to give guests a chance to explore the station and view the vehicles and equipment, as well as interact with current and former volunteer firefighters.
