Darlington American Legion Post 214 donated $200 to the DEMS Student in Need Fund.

This fund is used to help students in need of items such as coats, shoes, boots, gloves, eyeglasses, school needs, etc. Post 214 raises the money they donated from its annual “George Hirsbrunner” Take a Brat to Work Day.

The Post sells brats each fall in front of the Veterans Memorial and the money raised goes 100% into the Children & Youth Fund.

This past year due to the generous donations of the people in the community they were able to raise over $2,500 to put towards the Children & Youth programs.
