MONTICELLO - Newly elected officers for the Green County Council of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary were installed at the June 10 meeting.
The American Legion officers installed by Stan Erlandson, a past Green County Council Commander, were: Allen Fjelstad of the Steussy-Kuenzi Post 141 of New Glarus as the Commander of the Green County Council, and David Henning as the Commander of the Steussy- Kuenzi Post 141 of New Glarus.
The Green County officers will serve for two years.
The American Legion Auxiliary officers were installed by Green County Auxiliary Secretary Janet Thompson.
The Green County Council Auxiliary members installed were: Carol Clark of the Zilmer-Riley Post 84 of Monroe as the president; Barbara Erlandson of the McDermott-Steindorf Post 144 of Albany as the first vice president; Gladys Schild of the Zilmer-Riley Post 84 of Monroe as the chaplain; and Bonnie Zurfluh of the McDermott-Steindorf Post 144 of Albany as the immediate past president.
Unit officers installed were: Barbara Unke as the president of the Amstutz-Marty Post 256 of Monticello; Bernadine Baker as the treasurer of the Amstutz-Marty Post 256 of Monticello; and Virginia King as the chaplain of the McDermott-Steindorf Post 144 of Albany.
