MONROE - The Monroe American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 84 is seeking items for the Christmas Gift Shop at Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee. Veterans select Christmas gifts to send to their families at no cost to the veteran. As you select the items to be donated, please consider items that your family would like to receive. This is a "gift" from the veteran to his loved one. Gift items must be new.
Items needed are sweatshirts for men, women, boys and girls in all sizes up to 3X. Other items include three piece bath towel sets, kitchen towel sets, afghans and throws, pillow cases, fancy soaps and small bottles of toiletries, toys, boxed games, baby dolls, ethnic dolls, tube socks, and soft soled slippers.
Monetary donations will be accepted to purchase additional gifts, wrapping paper and packaging. Leave donated items at the Zilmer-Riley American Legion Post 84 at 1627 12th Avenue, Monroe. Items need to be received by Nov. 22.
