'Legendary' theme for GCDC annual meeting

MONROE - The Green County Development Corporation will hold its 17th annual meeting and recognition dinner on Thursday, March 30 at Kuhn North America, 1501 West 7th Ave., Brodhead. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner and program begins at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Robert Ady, president of Ady International Company. Ady is recognized worldwide for his expertise in corporate site selection and incentive negotiations. He will share insights on what his clients are saying about future expansions/relocations and will highlight site selection trends in the wake of the latest recession.

The GCDC 2009 Annual Meeting will recognize key people and businesses that have added to the strength of the county and its economic growth during the 2009 calendar year. GCDC annually recognizes businesses that have significantly helped strengthen Green County's economy. Last year, three businesses received awards: Super 8 of Monroe, Planet Wise/Nicki's Diapers and Kuhn North America. Entrepreneurs recognized included Don Wickstrum of Quest Industrial and Andy and Joyce Ziehli, Americana Gazette. This year's nominations are currently being reviewed.

The evening will be filled with celebration of what makes Green County truly legendary and will include many surprises. A buffet dinner will be served and reservations are necessary. The cost of the event, which includes dinner and beverages, is $35 each. Reservations are required and may be made by contacting the GCDC office at 328-9452 or by e-mail at gcdc@tds.net.
