ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Land O'Lakes Inc. has recognized Steve Carpenter of Red Rock View Farms in Darlington with an award for improving conservation and environmental outcomes on the farm through his leadership in Land O'Lakes SUSTAIN in 2017.
Land O'Lakes SUSTAIN is rooted in the idea that meaningful sustainability is farmer-owned and farmer-driven and recognizes farmers who are on the cutting edge of conservation and sustainability.
Red Rock View Farms was one of 12 farms honored at the Land O'Lakes SUSTAIN Farmer Recognition and Innovation Summit. The three-day event gathered more than 200 farmers from across the United States and Canada with representatives from major retailers, consumer packaged goods companies and environmental groups. They engaged in presentations and panel discussions aimed at educating each other about practical solutions for on-farm sustainability that can meet the needs of all stakeholders from farm to fork.
