Lance Corporal James Samuel (Sammy) Nelson, USMC PAS Class of 2023, son of Jeri Nelson (Blanchardville) and Craig Winsberg (Gratiot) Friday, October 24 completed requirements for designation as Aircrew Marine Qualifed on Bell UH-1Y Venom utility / light attack helicopter. Both parents and Aunt Julie Nelson traveled to Camp Pendleton (San Diego County, California) for graduation ceremony, at which Jeri was given the honor to pin on his “wings.” Nelson awaits orders to first command / squadron.
