MONROE - After more than a decade-long hiatus, La Leche League has returned to Monroe.
La Leche League offers mother-to-mother help in a series of four meetings based on "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding," published by La Leche League International. Meetings emphasize the joys of breastfeeding while informing and encouraging mothers who wish to nurse their babies.
Discussions at meetings are led by leaders accredited by La Leche League International and include the latest medical research as well as mothers' personal experiences.
La Leche League of Monroe will meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning on Feb. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Monroe Public Library second floor community room.
