Knitting presentation kicks off Community Knit Project
Argyle Knit 03

ARGYLE — “Great Northern” co-author Leah Coccari Swift will speak of her new knitting-design book, based on the sweater patterns of Twin Peaks tv show at 6 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Argyle Public Library, 401 E. Milwaukee St. in the upstairs community room.

Great Northern is a book of 10 sweater patterns and five accessories and home goods patterns inspired by the TV show “Twin Peaks.”

Designed sweaters will be on display and books will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served.

This event also kicks off the 4th annual Argyle Community Knit project.

For the past four years area fiber-fans have co-created “knit-art” to be displayed in the Argyle area including a 36 foot long scarf on playground turtle, ball-diamond pendants and a fiber flower garden.

This year knitters and those who crochet are asked to create garlands (of whatever color, fiber, etc). These can also be finger-knitted with children. Bring garlands to Argyle Public Library by March 1 for installation.
