Teresa Keehn is the new Community Development Coordinator with the Green County Development Corporation (GCDC)
MONROE — In a transition that reflects the strength and collaboration of the Green County community, the United Way of Green County and the Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) jointly announce that Teresa Keehn will be stepping into a new role as Community Development Coordinator with GCDC.
Keehn has served as Executive Director of United Way of Green County, where she has been deeply involved in bringing people together — connecting businesses, nonprofits, schools, and community leaders to strengthen support for individuals and families across the county.
During her time with United Way, Keehn helped build strong partnerships, expand community engagement, and reinforce the organization’s role as a trusted agency in Green County. Today, United Way remains in a strong and stable position, supported by dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and committed community partners.
“This community means everything to me,” said Keehn. “The relationships United Way has built with our partner agencies, businesses, schools, and volunteers are what make Green County so special. I am incredibly proud of where United Way is today. It is in a great place, and I have full confidence it will continue to grow and make an impact.”
Keehn shared that her new role is a natural extension of the work she has been passionate about.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to continue investing in the community I care so deeply about,” she said. “I’ve always believed that when we work together we can achieve more. This role will allow me to continue the important work of bringing people together, strengthening partnerships, and supporting initiatives that help Green County grow and succeed,” Keehn said.
United Way of Green County Board President, Traci Davis, emphasized both appreciation and confidence in the organization’s future.
“Teresa has led with heart, energy, and a true commitment to this community,” said Davis. “United Way is in a great place — strong, stable, and well-positioned for the future. The relationships she has built will continue to benefit this organization and our community for years to come.”
The Green County Development Corporation welcomed Keehn, noting that her experience and deep community connections will strengthen their work across the county.
“Teresa understands Green County — its people, its partnerships, and its potential,” said Olivia Otte, Executive Director of Green County Development Corporation. “Her ability to bring people together and turn ideas into action is exactly what community development is all about. We are excited to have her join our team.”
Both organizations highlighted that this transition reflects the ongoing collaboration that defines Green County.
“This isn’t a goodbye — it’s a continuation of the same work, just from a different seat at the table,” said Davis. “We know Teresa will continue to be a strong partner to United Way and to so many organizations across the county.”
Keehn will remain actively involved with United Way during the transition to ensure continuity and support the onboarding of new leadership. The United Way Board of Directors will begin the search for the next Executive Director immediately.
“Green County shows up for each other — that’s what makes this place so special,” Keehn added. “I’m grateful to have been part of United Way’s work and excited to continue serving this community in a new way.”
