Karhenbuhl named chairman

Woodford Bancshares, Inc., parent company of Woodford State Bank, announces Jan Krahenbuhl has been named as Chairman of the Board of Directors. She replaces David Stephens, who is stepping down after serving as Chairman for eight years, Stephens will remain as a member of the Board of Directors, along with Krahenbuhl, Scott DeNure, John Mathys, Jeffrey Anderson, Myron Meythaler, Vance Miller and John Baumann.

Krahenbuhl has been employed by Woodford State Bank since 1998. According to Bank President Scott DeNure, "Jan has a long history of involvement in community banking and believes very strongly in the importance of locally owned banks continuing to serve their communities. Woodford State Bank acquired the ParkBank Blanchardville office in 2007. Looking forward to the opportunity of further building on community stewardship, Jan accepted the position of managing our Blanchardville bank, while continuing to serve many of her clients from the Monroe area."

Krahenbuhl is involved in many Blanchardville and Lafayette County organizations. She and her husband, Greg, reside in the South Wayne area with their family.
