MONTICELLO - Zwingli United Church of Christ of Monticello will again be serving a Kalberwurst Supper from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 17. This is the largest fundraiser the church holds during the year, which will benefit many activities and missions of the church. Everyone in the community and surrounding area is encouraged to sample this meal, served family style with a menu of kalberwurst, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, copper penny carrot salad, applesauce, rolls, cookies and bars. Beverages for the meal are coffee, milk and water. The cost for the dinner is $10 for adults; $4 for children 6-12 years old; and for children 5 years and under there is no charge for the meal. Carry-outs will be available for those unable to attend.

In addition to a sumptuous meal, there will be a silent basket auction held for all to participate in. Baskets of various themes will be displayed and people may bid on them. The silent auction is sponsored by the Women's Guild to support church activities. Bidding began April 1 and will close the night of the kalberwurst supper.

Zwingli Church is located at 416 East Lake Avenue, in Monticello.

Everyone is invited to come enjoy a great meal and bid on a basket offered in the silent auction.
