Juda Zion church to present cantata

Jason McQueary and Jaelyn Kainz will perform in the Juda Zion Community Church cantata “The Borrowed Tomb” on March 29 and April 3.

JUDA — The choir of the Juda Zion Community Church will present the cantata “The Borrowed Tomb” on Palm Sunday, March 29 and on Good Friday, April 3. Both performances are at 1:30 p.m. 

This cantata was created by Steve Moore and David T. Clydesdale. It tells the story of Christ’s death and resurrection from the perspective of two members of the Sanhedrin, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. The audience will witness their struggle of faith and belief as they interact with each other, members of the Sanhedrin, Mary Magdalene, and Jesus. The cantata is directed by Shelly Jordan.

Following the performances a time of refreshment and fellowship will be held in the church Fellowship Hall. Both performances are free and open to the public.
