MONROE — The cantata “Christmas Is Coming-Sing For Joy” will be presented at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Juda Zion Community Church, located at N2350 Church Street, Juda. The program is free and open to the public.
Written by Steven Curtis Chapman, Jason Gray, and Chris Tomlin, and directed by Shelly Jordan, the cantata highlights both new songs and old Christmas favorites. Narrators for the program are Kay Carter and Bob Severson. Lily Williams is cast in the role of Mary and Lucas Woodward is Joseph.
Members of the adult choir are: Steve Anderson, Kathy Broger, Jen Coppas, Sara Carr, Kay Carter, Irv Case, Sharon Creuzer, Julie Davis, JoAnn Eberle, Rose Engen, Seth Engen, Beth Figi, Jake Hoesly, Joyce Hoesly, Peg Jordan, Judy Kaderly, Kalvin Kaderly, Rudy Kaderly, Laurie Martenson, Debbie Mason, Nicole Ramirez, Carrie Schwartz, Bob Severson, Kim Shields, Lily Williams, Lucas Woodward and Pastor Mark Woodward. Also participating, is the children’s choir, directed by Sara Carr.
Following the performance a time of refreshments and fellowship will be held in the church Fellowship Hall.
