JUDA — In the year 2025, the Juda Zion Community Church Youth Group collected and recycled nearly 5,000 pounds of aluminum cans, raising over $1,800. A portion of the funds were used to fund group activities with the remainder being donated to other causes.

Organizations receiving funds from the group were Juda School Food Backpack Program, Men’s Resource Center of Green County, ADRC of Green County, St. Vincent De Paul of Monroe, Aster Assisted Living Activity Fund, stained glass window repair fund at the church, food pantry located at the church, Green County Family of Promise, Loaves and Fishes, Green County Sexual Assault Recovery Program and Christmas gifts for children in the Juda School District.

The group sends ‘a big thank you’ to everyone who recycled their aluminum cans through this ongoing project. The collection cage for cans is in the Bank of New Glarus—Juda parking lot located on Walnut Street in Juda.
