Juda takes first at math meet

JUDA - Juda School District and Juda's math team announced the results of the fourth annual Six Rivers East Conference math meet held Wednesday, March 21 at Juda High School.

Albany, Argyle, Barneveld, Black Hawk, Monticello, Pecatonica and Juda, competed and represented all the Six Rivers East conference. About 175 students competed, attempting nearly 5,000 math problems.

The math meet was organized into two levels: Freshmen and sophomores were Level I and junior and seniors were Level II. Top scorers were recognized as first team and second team all-conference at both levels.

Level II first team included Grant Barnes, Pecatonica; Lily Horn, Albany; Ellen Kiser, Juda; Jared Anderson, Albany; Luke Jordan, Juda; Katlyn DeVoe, Juda; Carmen Hale, Argyle; and Mitch Stienhoff, Pecatonica.

Level I first team included Logan Anderson, Albany; Morgan Adkins, Juda; Coty Knudston, Juda; Tyler Hodgson, Pecatonica; Dan Mahlkuch, Juda; Matt Reckamp, Juda; and Marissa Monson, Black Hawk.

Level II second team included Cody Stuckey, Juda; Nathan Howell, Pecatonica; Merik Meythaler, Black Hawk; Brianna Knudston, Juda; Andrew Fink, Monticello; Logan Stietz, Black Hawk; Katelyn Stephens, Black Hawk; and Wyatt Massey, Pecatonica.

Level I second team included Micheala Akins, Black Hawk; Katlyn Steinmann, Juda; Cassie Scheider, Argyle; Jessica Jordan, Juda; Tim Allen, Juda; Brady Meythaler, Black Hawk; Tabatha Davis, Juda; and Patrick McKay, Juda.

The meet's top performer was Barnes. Juda had 14 students place in Level I and Level II all-conference, followed by Blackhawk placing six students and Pecatonica placing five students.

First place and conference champions were Juda High School, followed by Pecatonica High School, second, and Albany High School, third.
