JUDA - Juda School District and Juda's Math Team announced their results of the Six Rivers East Conference Math Meet held March 17 at Juda High School. All the Six Rivers East conference schools - Albany, Argyle, Barneveld, Black Hawk, Monticello, Pecatonica and host school Juda - competed with more than 125 students attempting over 3,300 math problems.

"The event ran fairly smooth for its first year; it was great to see the students excited about academics. Overall I think it was a great experience - a really good way to stretch our students," event organizer and Juda math teacher Scott Anderson said.

The math meet was organized into two Levels, freshmen and sophomores in Level I and juniors and seniors in Level II.

Eleven Juda students placed in First Team and Second Team All-Conference categories. Level I Second Team All-Conference: Amanda Dundee and Megan Trotter; Level I First Team All-Conference: Josh Marass, Josh McHoes, Jacob Reckamp, Katlyn Devoe and Ellen Kiser; Level II Second Team All-Conference: Brittany Riese and Jacob Ramos; Level II First Team All-Conference: Zach Wallace. The top conference performer, Level I and II was Elliot Klar from Juda.

The overall team results for the meet were: third place, Barneveld High School; second place, Albany High School; and first place and conference champions, Juda High School.
