MONROE — In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. We are America’s largest youth development organization-empowering young people across our community to lead for a lifetime.
4-H is open to all youth in 5-year-old kindergarten (5K) through high school, whether youth live in the city, village or country. We bring belonging, opportunity and experience to all kids from all backgrounds. 4-H celebrates access and equity for all kids.
There are 16 community 4-H clubs across Green County to choose from. Families are invited to talk to club leaders and visit club meetings, before selecting a club that best fits their family’s schedule, location and interests. Get started by contacting the Organizational Leader(s) of clubs that you are interested in learning more about and potentially visiting. 4-H clubs in the Monroe and Browntown area include Browntown Busy Beavers, Cheese Country Clovers, Clarno, Hiawatha and Young Americans.
Youth are welcome to join 4-H anytime of the year, but we especially encourage enrollments during our primary 4-H enrollment window of Sept. 1 to Nov. 1. In 2023-24, enrollment dues for youth members are $15 per member, but the enrollment dues are waived for first year families. Meaning families new to 4-H can join for free.
