MONROE — A new feature Bible drama based on the life of Daniel, an outstanding prophet of God, was released.
How can faith be built based on evidence? How can faith be maintained despite challenges? And how can faith keep us strong?
The drama featured during Jehovah’s Witnesses’ 2021 “Powerful by Faith!” convention answers these questions.
The film depicts how Daniel’s faith was a source of strength despite changing circumstances in youth and continuous challenges in adulthood and old age.
Watching Bible accounts come to life through dramas has always been a convention highlight for John and Darlene Meier, who attend a congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Monroe, Wisconsin. “They help you to feel the real pain and suffering they endured,” John said. “They were people like us with the same concerns, worries and emotions that we have today.”
This year’s feature drama on Daniel did not disappoint.
“The quality of the production was very professional and well done,” Darlene commented.
Though the Meiers have been attending conventions for more than 45 years, the lessons learned from this year’s drama left a lasting impression on them.
“I appreciated all that Daniel endured from a young person to an old man and how his faith and confidence grew over his lifetime,” Darlene noted. “God gave him courage to go on no matter what the trial was. When we see how God helped him, it gives us confidence that He will help us as well.”
Watching the drama has strengthened the Meiers’ determination to imitate Daniel’s faith, and their hope is that others will enjoy it as much as they did.
The drama was released in two parts and is available for free to download or view online at https://www.jw.org/en/library/videos/daniel-lifetime-of-faith.
