ALBANY - The Basin Street Boys will be performing from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Albany Elementary School gym.
The Basin Street Boys are an award-winning Dixieland group that plays jazz standards from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as more modern tunes played in the Dixie style. The Basin Street Boys originated as a jazz combo group when all of the members attended UW-Platteville. Most recently, the band has performed for weddings, church services, jazz festivals, fairs and private parties. These musicians will be working with music students during school and will perform in the evening.
The concert is free and open to the public. Albany Music Boosters is sponsoring the event.
