MADISON - Jason Roth of the Juda FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2015-16 section five state FFA officer during the 86th Wisconsin FFA Con-vention. Ralph Johnson is his advisor.

Since joining the Juda FFA Chapter six years ago, Roth developed two supervised agricultural experience (SAE) programs, one in agricultural education and the other in organic vegetable production. Both have helped to widen his understanding of the agricultural industry.

Roth has previously competed in a number of FFA contests, including taking high honors at the sectional level in prepared public speaking and job interview, as well as earning second place individual in the state dairy products contest. Roth helped coordinate his chapter's FFA week, day of service and food drive.

During his year as a state FFA officer, Roth will meet with thousands of FFA members and will travel over 10,000 miles. In addition to meeting with members on the local, state and national levels, the entire state officer team will meet with leaders in government, education, business and agriculture.

Roth is the son of Bill and Wendy Roth.
