Humane Society offering spay/neuter clinic for cats

MONROE - As part of its mission to reduce the number of unwanted animals, Green County Humane Society is offering a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats in Green and Lafayette counties.

The cat spay/neuter clinic will be held Saturday. The cost is $20.

To register, fill out an application available at the shelter or online at greencountyhumane.org.

Only two cats per household are allowed. The clinic is limited to 20 cats. Applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Approved applicants will receive a call from the shelter with further instructions for the day.

Cats must be a minimum of 2 pounds, and they must be vaccinated for rabies and distemper. If cats have not had their shots, they will be vaccinated prior to surgery. Cats must be contained in a carrier. Cats must be able to be safely handled. No feral cats will be accepted.
