DARLINGTON - Gear up for an evening of live music by five local bands. Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presents "Band-Aid!" to be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at Bridges Banquet Center, Darlington.
After deciding last year to host the Tour of Homes every other year, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary wanted to host a fundraiser in the interim that would capture the essence of giving back to the community. This year they are featuring local talent including "The Swamp Bottom Boys," "Stump Fiddle Band," "Just One More," "Transition and Hammer Down." Each band will entertain for 90 minutes, with all of them donating most and if not all their expenses to the hospital Auxiliary. This event was made possible thanks to the brainchild of many auxiliary members and the coordination with the bands by Steve Fitzsimons of Transition.
Along with entertainment, there will be food available at Bridges, 50/50 raffles throughout the night, and raffle drawing for chances to win a hand made quilt donated by the Cover Girls of Grace Lutheran Church, maid service by Jamie Palzkill, car detailing by Dan Prine, photography session at "Little Britches" by Judi Carey, Wildlife print donated by Benton State Bank and gift certificates from The Weekday Thirty West Main Breakfast Cafe and Annie's Bar & Grill and much more. Place the highest bid on the "Trees of Love" for the chance to take home a fully decorated Christmas tree or wreath which will be on display at Bridges from Nov. 19-Dec 4.
Doors open at 4 p.m. the night of the event and tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door and are available from any auxiliary member, and at the Chamber Holiday Showcase.
More information on supporting this event by donating a raffle item or a decorated tree/wreath or for information on where to buy tickets, call (608) 776-5731.
