ALBANY - Wayne Stemple, a member of the Albany Village Board, will explain his interest in geocaching to members and guests at the Albany Historical Society's next meeting, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Museum, 119 N. Water St.
A relatively new topic gaining popularity, geocaching participants can give and receive, go alone or in a group, and share their interest with others, according to Stemple, who will bring samples of items he hides and has found. A short business meeting will precede Stemple's program, and refreshments will follow his talk, served by Jane Copus and Peggy Wetter, board members. For more information about the Albany Historical Society, contact Ruth Beckman, president, at (608) 862-3423.
