Amy Hird, Platteville, and Adam Burdick, Monroe, were united in marriage May 17, 2008. The Rev. Jed Linebaugh performed the noon ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Darlington. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hird, Shullsburg, and Mr. and Mrs. John Burdick, Monroe. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Steven Hird.

Maid of Honor was Nevin Yazici.

Best Man was Aaron Young.

Ushers were Josiah Hird and Stephen Hird. Mary Hird and Anna Olson were flower girls. Martha Hird and Katelyn Valeria attended the guest book. Ruthanne Hird was the bride's personal attendant.

Their reception was held at the church, following the ceremony. They went to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming on their wedding trip.

The bride is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She is a homemaker.

The groom is a graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Rice Lake and University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is employed by Monroe Truck Equipment.

The bride chose a traditional, white chiffon, beaded and embroidered gown. Her attendant wore a sage satin, strapless style gown.

The groom and his attendant wore black suits.

The couple reside in Monroe.T
