MONROE — Jacob’s Swag Foundation and Thrivent Financial of Monroe will be hosting a booth during Monroe’s second annual Generosity Day, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 28 on the Monroe square.
A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that the suicide rate among farmers and those in the agricultural industry is the highest of any occupational group and five times higher than the population. Members of the community can gather at Thrivent’s booth and help pack 800 farmer appreciation bags that will be distributed throughout Green County.
Forty organizations will be on site and available to answer questions about how to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Christian artists Vigilant Soul will be performing also.
For more information, call Thrivent at 325-8100 or Main Street Monroe at 328-4023.
