Curtis and Jill Harings, Chippewa Falls, announce the engagement of their daughter Shannon Harings to Nathan Ackerman, son of Jim and Mary Ackerman, Monroe.
The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science in dietetics and the groom-to-be graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature. Both have worked and lived in Asia for seven years.
The wedding will be held in Chippewa Falls in late October. After the marriage, the couple hopes to return to Asia.
