Halloween party turns out many winners

WIOTA - About 120 people attended the Wiota Fireman's Auxiliary Halloween party held on Oct. 31 at the Wiota Fire House.

Costumed guests and spectators alike entered the party through a haunted house-like hallway.

Ghosts and goblins receiving costume prizes included:

- 0 to 2 years: Kylee Berget, Behret Cecil, Genna Fritsch, Lexi Lancaster, Ava Martin, Maycee Martin, MaKena McCauley, Molly Meylor and Avery Woodward.

- 3 to 4 years: Levi Fritsch, first place; Chloe Bockland, second place; Chandler Johnson, third place.

- 5 to 6 years: Lizzy Meylor, first place; Raquel Reuter, second place; Cooper Baumgartner, third place.

- 7 to 8 years: Gracie Cooper, first place; Mathew Thompson, second place; Ike Meylor, third place.

- 9 to 10 years: Avery Baumgartner, first place; Cody Wick, second place; Allison Thompson, third place.

- 11 to 12 years: Cody Crompton, first place; Emma Stietz, second place; Ben Cooper, third place.

- 13 years to adults: Bob and Nikki Cooper, first place, Connie Bockland, second place; Luke Smetters, third place.

The overall best costume trophy went to the Coopers, the scariest costume trophy went to Avery Baumgartner, and the funniest costume trophy went to Crompton.

The Wiota Fireman's Auxiliary served refreshments.
